Misplaced your licence?

Previously if any of your licences had been lost or stolen you would have to get a 'lost property number' from the police before you could get a replacement from the Council. This applies to your personal licence, premises licence or club premises certificate.

As of today (26th May 2015) this is no more, all you are required to do is request a new one from the council where you originally applied (there may be a charge for this). This should be done promptly as there is a requirement to produce your licence at a request from either a Licensing Officer or Police Officer.

This is one of a number of changes brought in by the Deregulation Act 2015 that looks to reduce unnecessary administration.
